53rd Christiania Derby

The 53rd Christiania Ski Club Derby, is to be held on Saturday 7th August 2010 on the Te Heu Heu Valley course (weather permitting). The event is a team Race for all Iwikau Clubs.

Event: GS teams race - Christiania Derby
Teams:
4 people per team
  • Junior's Team (under 16 at 1 January 2010)
  • Mens Team (open ages)
  • Ladies Team (open ages)
  • Masters (40 or over at 1 January 2010 and at least 1 lady in team)
Individuals:
  • Snowboarders
Entry Fee: The entry fee of $20.00 per person
Rules:
  • Ski Teams fastest three times count
  • Skiers can only race for one team
  • More than one team can be entered from each club in each category
  • Snowboards must be of conventional style Squalls and Mono skis do not qualify for prizes.
  • NZSA Alpine ski racing rules apply
Registration: All teams must complete Entry Forms and provide full payment at the Christiana Ski Club between 8.30 am and 9.00 on the 7th August or pre-register online prior to 6th August. To pre-register online click here.
Race start: 10:00am at top of Te Heu Heu Valley
Course inspection 9:30am to 9:50am from side of course
Prize Giving: 4:15pm, ending 5:30pm. Christiania Ski Lodge.

Please note: - If your racers are under 18 yr. Please make sure that your club sends a responsible adult and stays with them. We will have non-alcoholic drinks available. Christiania Ski Club is not responsible for under18 year olds and their consumption of alcohol.
